A real cozy and homey feeling is what this place is all about, almost as if you're visiting your grandparents place. Truly a unique dining experience with plenty of comfort and old-fashioned classics you can enjoy. The Shrimp and Grits are good and so is the Chicken and Dumplings entree that we almost always order when we visit Dish. The mix of flavors is quite unique as it combines various styles that stem from Southern fare, but also include Cajun and Mexican touches. A no-frills spot that is often full, and for good reason. They serve up everything from early morning breakfast dishes to late night snacks. A place that opens its doors as long as possible each day to make sure they always have your back when your tummy demands satisfaction. Without any hesitation, Dish is a wonderful find in Charlotte and most of the locals are fully aware of this. The spot is actually far bigger than it appears from the outside, so don't let first impressions mislead you. The parking is also across the street, so be aware before you get there. Simple steps to make your visit more enjoyable. We often hear the term comfort food thrown around these days, but none truly deliver it as good as old-school spots that have always had it. Stay away from imposters or fast food alternatives.. this is the place that takes time for quality and delicious meals. We also appreciate the warm and friendly greeting at the door, very nice!
