Nothing better to explain this cuisine then what the title has already done for you. COMFORT. Southern style cooking is what it's all about, each and every day. Open since the early 40's, this former gas station has served millions since the doors opened. We suggest the Brunswick Stew if you want to start off with a bang, but of course, as with all of our DDD choices, the menu is packed full of great comfort style dishes that will please even the harshest of food critics. First and foremost, how could you not want to visit a a place that is creeping up quickly on a restaurant that is nearing a century of service. This BBQ wonderland has been smoking meats the same way for over eight decades. When you got something right.. then why change it. Others can only dream of preparing classic BBQ dishes the way these folks do with ease at this point. It's also great to know that even after all these generations, they've still got it as we say. Proof is in the pudding as they say and their latest award shows that. They've recently been awards The South's Best BBQ 2018. The quality here is truly impressive and with each bite, you'll think to yourself that it must be too good to be true. Slow cooked meats is a true art and these folks have mastered it. Some other favorites here include their Smoked Wings, Pork Sandwiches, Brisket, Deep Fried Okra and especially their Mac n Cheese was which if flavorful!
