This is no joke folks.. this diner is a former school bus that has been totally transformed and professionally renovated into this fantastic Taco stand! We've been here several times now when we sneak in to Tampa, and continue to be amazed at the quality we find here. So many fun and creative items on the menu here, but some stands out include their popular Butternut Squash Tostada or all all time favorite, the Torta Chilorio for the best of the best. At the Taco Bus, you are guaranteed 100% authentic Mexican taste. These folks have been doing the food truck thing for well over two decades now, well before any food truck trend swept the nation as it has today. Chef Rene had had this vision and Taco Bus dream for well over 30 years and since 1996, he's made his vision a reality. In addition to the regular standard items, they also have a vast assortment of gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. They've got every and any Taco lover out there covered from top to bottom. We can attest to that in our many visit here in Florida. They also make it a priority to use on fresh ingredients, each day. You'll never find anything frozen or out of a can here and absolutely zero preservatives. In addition to their trademark and legendary Mexican Tacos here, they also serve up freshly prepared Burritos which are huge and the Quesadilla as well.
