As the name of the place suggests, it's a perfect outdoor waterfront restaurant which truly makes it worth the visit to Marathon on it's own. We've been to dozens of Florida spots throughout this Diners journey.. yet not many impressed us continually such as the one and only Castaway Waterfront Restaurant & Sushi Bar! These folks have got the perfect combination of Florida beach and sun with amazing dishes and a list of drinks that will please everyone. In fact, they have well over fifty beers on tap. They open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We do suggest you book ahead especially for the evenings as they do fill up pretty quickly each night. There is a reason they continue to draw lines everyday.. come find out for yourselves. The history started back in the year 1951 where it became famous quickly over the cold beers and steamed shrimp, also in beer. Food and service continue to be a great hit here and the portions are well above average. Even the hungriest will be satisfied here. So many great options here especially the fresh seafood selections, so be sure to see what the special catch of the day is. Consider the Conch Fritters, Fish Tacos, Oysters, Shrimp Alfredo or the Hogfish stuffed with Crab and Shrimp. And not to be forgotten, the sushi selection here is by far the best in the area so be sure to check that out as well. Come by and enjoy a drink, wonderful meal and amazing views. Come now!
