With some of the best seating of any diner that we've been to, be sure to reserve your seats on the roof right beside the lovely garden and enjoy the spectacular views - especially sunsets. With so many great options to dine on here, the safe bet for new visitors is always the Pulled Pork Sandwiches as well as the original Elk Burger. This homemade, from scratch burger is fully loaded with Homemade Beer Mustard that really is the icing on the cake - a must try. A very popular and lively longtime dining fixture in downtown Spokane has been in business since the early 90's. But, as we have to report from time to time, this amazing lounge is no longer open so keep that in mind. In early 2019, brothers Steven and Dave Hill decided to close the doors for a final time. February 28th was the last day of service and many tears were shared. What made them popular and the place to dine at for so many decades was the simple fact that they believed in handmade from scratch cooking.. and the quality shined through. It was always a very charming spot to come to and the service was unlike anything any other local spot offered or offers to this day. You truly were made to feel like one of the family here, like coming over to moms for dinner. Perhaps it was a tad outdated but we feel that gave it their homey atmosphere, it was real. The eclectic menu will be missed and we can only hope another restaurant or lounge will now pick up the slack and void left behind.
