Run by the two Stegall brothers, this joint really is a great pit stop for some great food at very reasonable prices. Formerly used as a gas station, this place really has a unique atmosphere to enjoy a good meal. The menu items are excellent, such as the Venison Quesadillas or Maple-Glazed Pork Chops that we can still smell so many years later. They have what we like to refer to as a great American, eclectic styled menu that has just a bit of everything for everyone. The Western-themed decor and atmosphere is memorable and quite the talking point while you're waiting for your meal to come. This is also a spot that from the outside doesn't really look like much and you might just simply pass it by, but the food inside is far above any expectations and will make you a return customer for life. The prices here are reasonable considering the massive portions sizes. Just try the Fried Bologna Sandwich which is stacks upon stacks of Bologna! And very delicious to make clear. A serious of a gem which shines above the average, norm establishment you may come across in the city of Charlotte. Another great item here to try are their in-house Fried Green Tomatoes which have the perfect amount of crisp. Of this is your first time trying these, this is the spot to make it count. The Prime Rib Specials typically run Thursday nights is also a winner. Wonderful diner that you must experience.
