This is one place that is worth the visit to Brooklyn on its own - we never miss a visit when we're in the big apple. Conveniently located near the local college, it's become famous over the past decade for serving fast, delicious and very affordable meals. Their entire menu is amazing to be quite honest. If forced, we really have to narrow it down to our two favorites found here at Jimmy's Diner which include their unmistakable Skillet Apple Waffles and of course the made-from-scratch Empanadas - which are deep fried to perfection if we may say so. BUT, it is with a heavy heart that we have to let our followers know that Jimmy's Diner has closed since our visit. After 13 years, due to the measures of the pandemic lock downs - they were forced to close the doors for good. It's truly unfortunate that so many amazing establishments were bankrupt during those times and Jimmy's was one of those casualties. It was so much more than the local eatery as it brought together friends, neighbors and visitors to the city. It was always very welcoming, cheerful and full of good time. The food was remarkable but the memories were priceless. This place will and is surely misses as many continue to reminisce on social media.
