Watch episode 'Quirky Classics' in season 11
Locations Guy Fieri visits in the USA - Places to eat comfort home-style, healthy, gourmet & fast food meals!
Nothing quite like a family run establishment that can prepare Louisiana cuisine the right way, such as this place. A fun and quirky name that delivers on the food as well. You've got to sample the Shrimp and Fried Green Tomatoes, Oysters a la Louisiana and Grits and Veal Grillades. We love this spot and truly believe it is the soul definition of true, authentic Creole and classic New Orleans fare. Chef Louie Finnan expressed his passion and true love of cooking during his time here and never stopped short of creating meals that would warm your heart. As you may have guessed, this spot is no longer in service and it truly breaks our hearts to share the news with you all. Never have we come across NOLA style cuisine that was prepared so fresh and served with a smile unlike anything before. Unfortunately the Mandeville restaurant that has set the standard not just for the neighborhood but the entire Nation has closed its doors back in 2015. Know for their amazing fried seafood dishes, but equally popular for their unique and one of a kind eclectic decor. The pushpin map was one of our favorite items to check out every time we came, it was a nice collection of visitors from across American whom have dined here over the years. Even though they moved locations to improve traffic and keep the tradition alive, it was not quite enough to drive enough customers to keep Louie and the Redhead Lady opened. While there are many other alternatives to be found in the great city of Mandeville, it's just not the same and we will look back with fond memories when we think back to these folks.
