Everyone loves pot roast, but not until you've had it on a bun that you can really appreciate the art of the perfect sandwich. Every Sunday, perfectly prepared and served, you'll have a hard time having just one. If you have room, then be sure to look over their dessert menu which includes their Apple Pancakes that are untouched in terms of incredible flavors and satisfaction. Recently making our return trip when visiting Chicago, it appears that this local legend has closed. We sincerely hope that this amazing sandwich shop will come under new management and keep it going. It's rare that you find a spot to dine at which you feel that you just have to lick the plate clean - the food here is just that great. And as we mentioned earlier, the desserts.. wow.. the desserts! Many times in the past we have just swung by to enjoy the desserts here as the options are just too good to pass up. Even basics items such as the Meat loaf. Once might as themselves, it's just meat loaf, what's the big deal? But trust us.. the meat loaf here is something that will stay with you a lifetime. If this place is indeed closed permanently, then it's a sad day for everyone in the Chicago area.
