INTERMEZZO CAFE AND PIZZERIA

A rare yet amazing find in the city of Charlotte as far as we're concerned. You've probably never put Serbia with Pizza shop together in a sentence before, but trust us when we tell you that these guys do a surprisingly superb job! Closing in a almost a decade in business, they have locals raving and tourist making pit stops everyday of the week. Classic hand-tossed pies are the specialty here but they also remain true to authentic and traditional Serbian cuisines. Some of the local favorites include the Europe based Calzones and probably the most talked about item on the menu, the Stuffed Cabbage. Run by two brothers, Branko and Djordje Avramovic, they have really gone all out by using their grandmothers traditions and recipes. They handmade their dough and mozzarella and also carry a nice selection of Craft Beers. A very welcoming, cozy and warm atmosphere is excellent. Also consider the Beef Burek, Hummus, Turkey Burgers, Garlic Bread, Bolognaise and more.
