When you are in Charleston and find your way to The Glass Onion, be sure to try their popular Smoked Pork Loin Po'Boy Sandwich or maybe the homestyle favorite choice amongst the locals.. the Fried Chicken with Collard Greens as a side. This upbeat and popular location has been dishing out classic Southern favorites to please hundreds of thousands of happy customers throughout their years. It's quite rare to be honest, to stumble upon spots that offer a genuine home grown neighborhood-feel, that focuses everything on the menu through the use of natural ingredients. It's so important of what we consume and what our bodies digest.. and this place makes it top priority. BUT, without sacrificing any bit of flavor or satisfaction during the process. Since they've opened up their doors in 2008, they've grown to be the place to be and other spots try to emulate their success. Plenty of things to choose from, with an amazing kids menu as well.. but we'd like to recall some of our favorite bites here which include the Fried Pork Chop Dinner, Crab Cakes with just the perfect crunch, Fried Green Tomatoes, Beet Salad, Shrimp and Grits, Cajun Boudin Balls and do leave room for desserts such as their homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie.
